Judith Barker (Principal and Head of Drama)

Judith is a well known face and name within the acting profession and during her long career has performed in over 250 plays in professional theatre. Her television credits include Peak Practice, Holby, Heartbeat, Coronation Street, Brookside, Hollyoaks as well as numerous one off dramas, several films and also multiple radio plays. Recent credits include, National tour of Calendar Girls, Everyone's a Winner (Manchester Royal Exchange), Shameless, A Passionate Woman (opposite Billie Piper), and Miss Potter with Rene Zellweger.

Adele Parry (Principal and Head of Movement and Dance)

After training at the Guildford School of Acting, Adele worked as an actress appearing in a number of shows at the Coliseum theatre in Oldham and Manchester's Royal Exchange and a number of television programmes including most recently Grange Hill and Coronation Street. A qualified dancing teacher, Adele is also a professional choreographer working on a number of shows including 8 pantomimes at Nottingham Playhouse and Oldham Coliseum theatres, and 4 shows for Oldham Childrems Theatre, Forever Young, Private Lives(Nottingham Playhouse) and Waterloo Road (BBC). Adele is a Licentiate of the London Academy of Dramatic Art and an Associate of the National Association of teachers of dance.

Dave Bintley (Head of Singing)

Dave trained at Leeds College of Music where he attained a first-class Diploma in popular music. Since then, he has been a professional musician for some 26 years, working mainly, but not exclusively, in theatre as a Musical Director. He has been fortunate to have worked with many well-known stars of the entertainment world and has worked on TV productions at the BBC in London.

UK Tours include Prisoner: Cell Block H – The Musical and The Lily Savage Show, both starring Paul O'Grady, Carousel with Sam Kane, Jekyll & Hyde with Paul Nicholas and Seven Brides For Seven Brothers with Dave Willetts, which went on to play the West End. Dave has also toured New Zealand and Australia with Gareth Hale and Norman Pace as their Musical Director and Arranger. Dave has been Musical Director for many Qdos pantomimes and has been Musical Director for the Oldham Coliseum pantos for the last 5 years.

Having taught music at all levels, Dave specialises in harmony, theory, vocal technique and aural perception as well as composition and arrangement and preparation for recital. Alongside his professional theatre engagements, Dave is Musical Director and singing teacher at Tameside College and has also been guest Musical Director for several sixth-form college productions, recently A Chorus Line , Sweet Charity and Fame The Musical for Bury College.

 

Richard Brighton (Fight Director) NAMAI IFDG

An experiences professional Fight Director and leading expert in stage combat.

As the Founder and Senior Fight Director of 'SWORDPLAY', Richard is involved on a daily basis in developing actors' skills in stage combat and acting as the Fight Director for professional film, television and theatrical productions. Richard teaches at numerous leading universities and drama schools, and has acted as Fight Director for The History Channel, the RSC, the BBC and hundreds of National and Regional theatres. Richard is committed to providing safe, effective and comprehensive stage combat tuition, for all ages and abilities.

Isabel Ford (Drama Teacher)

Isabel studied at Rose Bruford College of Speech and Drama. She lives with her family in Greenfield and works professionally as an actress in television radio and theatre.

She recently directed Roll out the Beryl, her third play for LaurieLorry Theatre; celebrating the life and times of actress and comedienne Beryl Reid. She is currently devising a show with Articulate Elbow Theatre Company, which is due to tour next year.

Isabel is currently playing the roles of Siddie and Lily in Bolton Octagon's production of Alfie.
